Small and medium-sized plant that lives in the stony and rocky areas of the Mediterranean basin, distributed mainly in the Italian hills, it can be found from the coastal area, as long as it is not washed by saline water up to about 1000 meters above sea level.
The aroma of this plant is unmistakable and on hot days you can feel it even without rubbing its leaves, the intensity of its sweetness spreads everywhere in the air.
The plant has a well-established history in Western herbal culture, its essential oil has excellent properties to rebalance the dermis, inflammation, allergies.
It is also a hepatic stimulant of the pancreas and lymphatic glands, detoxifying, spasmolytic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral, mucolytic.

in blend of natural perfumes it gives sweet, warm, deep notes and with nuances of sun-dried grass, vague notes of roots, to all effects and to my personal tastes, it is already a complete perfume as well, besides its base notes make it also a discreet fixative.
It goes well with all citrus fruits, Cypress, Neroli, Verbena.
